Papa Bay, Big Island on March 18, 2014. Two collectors in unmarked boat with no collecting permit numbers on equipment, lay over 300 feet of net and trampled the reef taking 300+ fish. These photos and a written report was filed with Kona DOCARE. DLNR/DOCARE then passed the report to the Hawaii county prosecutors office. I was never interviewed and some months later called the prosecutors office to find the status of this poaching case and was told my case number was not in their system.
