Miloli'i Green Flash
As the sun sets over the Pacific, it's last rays can sometimes be seen as green, or even blue or violet. This phenomena is the result of sunlight being refracted into it's separate colors by earth's atmosphere. The ocean is the lowest horizon on the planet, hence the light travels through the maximum amount of atmosphere to cause this prism effect.
